SvN’s New Senior Associates Announced

SvN Architects + Planners celebrates the promotion of four Associates to the level of Senior Associate. We also recognize the arrival of Sandy McIntosh to our team as a Senior Associate. SvN is very proud of our growing multidisciplinary leadership!


These new appointments recognize the unique strengths of a transdisciplinary practice committed to delivering holistic city-building solutions for both public and private sector clients.



Andrea Gaus

MArch, OAA, MRAIC, LEED AP





As an architect, Andrea has consistently impressed with her ability to manage a range of complex mixed-use, housing and mobility projects stemming from her award-winning work for a diverse group of commercial and institutional clients. Her acclaimed projects include Centennial College Library and Academic Facility in Toronto and Lazaridis Hall at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo. At SvN, Andrea’s leadership insight focuses on the planning and implementation of transit-oriented communities, from strategic improvements at the neighbourhood level to a multi-faceted systems-based approach to design excellence.


Anthony Greenberg

MPl, MCIP, RPP





Anthony is an urban planner and SvN’s Development Planning Lead who guides a team of planners and architects who value the relationship between planning and design excellence. His experience working on complex urban areas combined with his expertise in the Ontario approvals process make him a trusted and sought-after leader in crafting development strategies and securing approvals. Anthony has played a key role in guiding the evolution of PortsToronto’s Marine Terminal Property in the Port Lands and has secured a range of affordable housing projects across the Greater Toronto Area. He regularly appears before planning committees and as an expert witness to provide insight when needed.


Danielle Whitley

Danielle is an architect who has spent over a decade working on projects across all design and construction phases. She’s brought her impactful insights and exceptional professionalism to a wide range of projects, including single-family residential, high-end retail and complex large-scale institutional and commercial projects. Danielle is also active in the academic community, sharing her depth of experience with students as a sessional lecturer at the University of Toronto’s Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design.


Lina Al-Dajani

MLA, MCIP, RPP, CSLA, OALA





Lina is a landscape architect with considerable experience working on multi-faceted projects and community engagement. She has bolstered our firm’s capabilities in both these critical areas of practice. On the public engagement side, Lina’s valuable work on the RioCan Leaside Centre, Trent University’s Trent Lands and Nature Areas Plan and Shoppers World Brampton are standout examples of her versatility and ability to encourage, collect and synthesize feedback. Internally, she is working with SvN’s JEDI (Justice Equity Diversity & Inclusion) Research Group to investigate barriers to engagement that can better support our clients’ future initiatives.


Sandy McIntosh

Sandy arrives at SvN boasting an impressively varied CV that includes architectural project lead experience for a range of public and private clients and a long stint as the founder of an influential Canadian record label, Sonic Unyon. His 30 years of architectural experience in post-secondary institutions, healthcare facilities, and science and tech-based projects, among others, will further enhance SvN’s capacity to coordinate complex project teams. Calling Hamilton home, Sandy will support SvN’s expansion outside of Toronto into the western Greater Toronto Hamilton Area (GTHA) and southwestern Ontario.
